Fire Of Conscience 'When my friend and distinguished Can No Longer Fight'

Detective Manfred (Leon Lai) is stubborn. He never let a case through unsolved. Dedication of this work made him known as a clean police but at the same time also make this dedication involved complicated affair that involves many people in high places.

At first only because Manfred would not give up investigating the murder of a prostitute. At the scene found traces of DNA found one police officer and make this the police became the prime suspect in the murder case. Manfred thinks this is too easy and try to dig deeper.

Without being asked, Kee (Richie Ren) who actually served in the narcotics offer assistance. The desire to help that has not had time to make this more logical Manfred suspicious but he had no evidence to support this suspicion. Manfred realizes that she can no longer rely on anyone because in situations like these friends and foes are something that can not be seen clearly.

Without his knowledge, he investigated this case apparently involves a lot of people in high places. When Manfred successfully conclude these cases the good name of Hong Kong police will be tarnished. Can Manfred resolve this case?

Good cop, bad cop is one of the topics most frequently used in Hong Kong films. This time again we were treated to the work of director Dante Lam who took this topic. Not just taking the same topics with the previous films but this film is exactly follow a generic pattern with themes like this movie. There is no mystery. No questions were mounting and make the audience wait until the end of the movie. Everything is vividly illustrated almost since the beginning of the film.

Nothing wrong was because this movie was made not to burden the audience with a bunch of question marks. Dante Lam would like to invite the audience to have fun. The trick? Regale shooting, explosions, dang at each other. Again this is not an error because the action movie is about action and the story line was not too important.

About acting, no one is too prominent. Duo Leon Lai and Richie Ren plays seem adequate although it's not their fault entirely. Looks like the script did not allow them to do much. The proof of these two main characters never seem to mature so that worked out with more impressive as a two-dimensional characters who suddenly appear and then disappear again.

Cracks are also quite a lot of logic and evidence of this so if in fact the story line was not too important. He just there to assemble a number of dramatic scenes that are already in the mind of the director. (KPL / rock)
