Sara (Virginia Madsen) and Peter Campbell (Martin Donovan) are forced to move to Connecticut since their son Matt (Kyle Gallner) is diagnosed with cancer. This forced them to do because they must always be close to where Matt was being treated.
As they entered their new home, Matt began to feel disturbed by some strange events that often occur in this their new home. Once they find out, was a new home this Campbell family was once a morgue.
Because of fear, Sara then asked for help to a religious leader named Nicholas Popescu (Elias Koteas). Having performed a ritual exorcism of evil, for some time the house was a bit quiet Campbell family. But it did not last long because a few moments later Matt's condition suddenly deteriorated and the lives of entire families Cambell on the horns.
Horror movie with a supernatural background is the result of director Peter Cornwell is adapted from a true story that could be written in a book. It can not be said that Connecticut IN THE Haunting This is a true story because the screenwriter and director just take the base story and process into a decent movie to watch.
As a spectacle meant to scare viewers, Connecticut IN THE Haunting is quite effective but it seems Peter Cornwell was still attached to the grip-grip shock pad would normally have a horror movie. That is, elements of suspense or tension is built from a series of surprises this game instead of timing or a plot is made even more elevated. To smell supernatural film class, it seems like The Sixth Sense is still better.
The situation became worse because the characters acting exactly mediocre. Rather odd indeed because at least there are two big names in this film, Virginia Madsen and Elias Koteas usually play better. There are only two possibilities to happen like this: a script that does not allow them to explore the characters or less observant director directs the actors.
